Bridgette and Sean’s wedding was a timeless spring celebration filled with soft pastels, elegant details, and heartfelt moments— hosted at one of Pittsburgh’s most iconic venues, Oakmont Country Club, who’s hosting their tenth U.S. Golf Open Championship this year (2025). Captured in my signature light & airy, romantic style—this day was filled with so much intention, beauty, and love. ✨
To say I’d been looking forward to Bridgette and Sean’s wedding for a while is a bit of an understatement- their wedding was the FIRST wedding on my books for 2025, so we had plenty of time to daydream over all the details they’d been planning! From their “classic” Catholic ceremony (surprises to come) to a stunner of a reception at Oakmont Country Club, every element of the day meant something to them. We recreated the prom photos Bridgette and her girls took on the staircase on their family home (with a family photo album with years of wedding photos below), had their ceremony in the church they grew up with and loved so much, and then their ceremony at Oakmont Country Club, a place her dad loved attending each US Golf Open at and that they could share together.

Bridgette and Sean decided to break the standard of 2025 weddings and forgo a first look together- which let us really focus on the interactions between Bridgette and her wedding party, parents, and Sean’s mother.

Sometimes, people are shy to make little requests for photos- but those can be such fun shots! Bridgette’s mom had a tradition of photographing the girls on all of their big life events on the staircase of the family home, and it brought me so much joy to photograph this shot to add to the collection. Sometimes this type of photograph won’t be the perfectly lit by glowing natural light, clutter-free, aesthetic, portfolio masterpiece… but it is the meaningful, moment-maker, memory holder that makes the day something more than perfect- it makes it personal.

After a tearful first-look with Bridgette and her father, we loaded up the limo and drove over to Saint Irenaeus Church for a Catholic ceremony that was anything short of the ordinary.

While we had beautiful sunshine, we also had a windy day with a chill! The wind picked up Bridgette’s Watters veil like it was made just for it. And the chill? It made it perfect for snuggly photos.

After some gorgeous sun-soaked portraits, S&B mingled through cocktail hour with their guests while my team prepared for the reception- complete with little DIY golf details!

But of course, we had to sneak the newlyweds in to peek at their reception before it opened to guests. I can’t recommend doing a private room reveal enough! It’s almost impossible to really take your entire room design in when making your grand entrance, doing your first dances, or slicing your cake- plus, you can do a little first-dance practice!

Bridgette & Sean sliced their cake, by one of my favorite Pittsburgh Bakeries, Bella Christies, and then all eyes were on them as they danced to the classic Beyond the Sea.

I have a soft spot for speeches during the wedding day- it’s a pretty commonly known thing now that you spend a lot of time with your wedding photographer. I love spending time together during engagement sessions, pre-planning meetings, and through the wedding day… but there’s always something so joyful in getting to hear the newlywed’s most best friends get to gush about them! My favorite highlights: Bridgette disappearing during the Era’s tour to brave the merch line to get her matron-of-honor the elusive navy-crewneck (IYKYK,) because if you’re her friend, Bridgette would go to any length for you. Sean’s first day of school, where he and his best man met for the first time- where he introduced himself, and showed off his Timex/Rolex/Tommy Hilfiger/brand debatable watch, as a contestation starter- and how in that moment, his best friend realized that Sean could become friends with anyone.

After three perfect speeches, DJ Cake played some of the best hits and brought everyone to the dance floor- the soundtrack to these photos? Downtown by Macklemore, Kids by Mac Miller, Get Low by Lil John (obviously, the millennial necessity), some of the Greece soundtrack, and of course, Love Shack by the B52s. It was the perfect soundtrack for Bridgette and Sean’s wedding day!
